Lead Software Developer (Java/SQL)

As a Senior Developer (with 5+ years developing, and 3yrs+ as senior)

• Stellar software development skills - you have a portfolio of existing code, sites and contributions.
• Formal experience managing software developers or demonstrable experience mentoring and providing leadership to other developers - able to guide, teach and do.
• Strong troubleshooting, tracing and debugging skills,
• Experienced and happy to mentor team members
• Experience with requirements-management, backlog grooming and leading the development to meet specifications
• Having a genuine commitment to getting things done
• Utility or CIS/CRM experience is desirable

Technically you will understand and have worked with some (or all):

• Strong Java knowledge
  • Java or Java EE Certified,
  • Advanced knowledge of typical patterns, core libraries and frameworks.
  • Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Implementation skills
• Working SQL Knowledge
• Demonstrably strong skills in Enterprise Java, including …
  • Java Application Server technologies, including JSF 2 with Primefaces
  • Spring and Hibernate
  • Java messaging (e.g., ActiveMQ)
  • Integration technologies including REST and OpenAPI
• You are comfortable working with legacy back-end when needed
• Experienced and comfortable with
  • Eclipse as the main IDE
  • Working in an Agile environment (we use JIRA)
  • Current Windows experience and you know your way around Linux with reasonable scripting skills
